I’ve told you before that many people make purchasing decisions based on emotion. But that doesn’t seem to be driving their actions on Facebook.
Because different parts of our brain become active during different activities, viewing a video causes an emotional response. Reading text tends to bring out a more logical, analytical response. Unless you’re running a video ad, don’t rely on emotion to get clicks and encourage engagement.
Takeaway: Keep the emotional ads for your landing pages / sales pages. If you’re running ads on Facebook, focus on using Power Words (the hook) to grab people’s attention.
